Bastian Schweinsteiger joins Chicago Fire
Bastian Schweinsteiger joins Chicago Fire, the German just needs to get a Visa and a medical before he is able to join Chicago Fire, but it looks like a done deal. The world cup winner will be leaving the Premier League to join the MLS (at least it’s not the Chinese Super League). Bastian had the following to say about his Manchester United departure:
I am sad to leave so many friends at Manchester United,” he said. “But I am grateful to the club for allowing me the chance to take up this challenge.
I have enjoyed working with the manager, players and staff but I have to reserve special thanks to the fans. I will always remember their energy and their passion.
I was delighted to be part of the squad that won the FA Cup for them last season and will always remember their energy and their passion. Now is the right time for me to start a new chapter in Chicago and I am looking forward to it.
Bastian had talks with Chicago Fire last year, but decided to stay at Manchester for a little longer. He has now decided to join Chicago Fire and will be able to get more game time than he currently is.
