Champions League Quarter Final – Atletico Madrid vs Leicester City Review

Leicester City kept their Champions League quarter final dream alive last night as they restricted Atletico Madrid to a single goal in the first leg.

In the first half  Koke hit the post and the referee thought that Marc Albrighthton’s foul on Antoine Griezmann was inside the box.

Replays show that contact on Griezmann was out side the box but the referee pointed to the spot, Griezmann stepped up to take the penalty and send Kasper Schmeichel the wrong way to make it 1-0 to Atletico Madrid.

The second half was a kinda dull half with the only real chance coming from Fernando Torres that slipped when he took his shot, apart from that Atletico struggled to make any clear-cut chances against a Leicster defence.

Robert Huth will be banned for the 2nd leg after being booked.
