Ligue 1 Friday, Saturday and Sunday Results!
It started this weekend on Friday 17th March 2017 with the following games:
Metz vs Basita ended up with a home victory for Metz, as own goal from Basita (G.Cioni) in the 46th minute, was the only goal that made a difference in the end as the game ends 1-0 to Metz.
No goals for Lille and Marseille as both teams pick up a point after a 0-0 draw.
Saturday 18th March 2017 followed with the following games:
1-1 draw for Nantes vs Nice as goal scorers E.Sala (Nantes – 22nd minute) and J.Seri (Nice – 28th minute) to see the only goals of the game and to see a single point going towards both teams.
A home win in the Angers vs Guingamp game, as Guingamp couldn’t respond to Angers 3 goals from Angers players J.Bamba (63rd minute), T.Mangani (68th minute) and F.Diedhiou (83rd minute) to see the game out with a 3-0 victory over Guingamp.
Home side Bordeaux win 5-1 over Montpellier as D.Rolan scores (25th minute – Bordeaux), Y.Sankhare scores (29th minute), V.Vada scores (pen for Bordeaux in the 32nd minute), followed with another penalty in the 47th minute R.Boudebouz (Montpellier), D.Rolan scores (76th minute), 81st minute saw a red card for D.Congré (for Montpellier making there matters worse) and
M.Silva de Oliveira scores late on making it 5-1 to Bordeaux in the 90+2minutes.
Home side Nancy lose out to Lorient as Loreint win 3 goals to 2. Nancy lead the game with a 2-0 lead by players C.Maouassa (28th minute) and I.Dia (penalty in the 42nd minute) scoring and ending the half 2-0. But a great comeback was on the cards for Lorient as their players B.Moukandjo (66th minute), W.Lautoa (86th minute) and A.Mvuemba (90th+4 minutes) all scoring completing a great comeback!
Touluose vs Rennes, the game ended as a draw with Touluose taking 6 shots and not hitting the target, while Rennes toke 17 shots and only finding the target 3 times! The game ends 0-0 with a disappointing display of shots. Touluose also went down to 10 men after A.Blin gets a second yellow before receiving the red card in the 62nd minute of the game.
Sunday 19th March 2017 ends the weekend games with:
Monaco beating Caen 3-0 with French youngster K.Mbappe scoring two goals in the 13th and the 81st minute. Between both his goals was a goal by F.Tavares converted from the penalty spot in the 49th minute. Monaco showing a great youth program at the club by giving 18 year old K.Mbappe regular chances showing of his talent. Monaco’s K.Mbappe is linked with many potential moves and is a name to look out for just like former Monaco player Martial of whom transferred to Manchester United and is showing great form.
Dijon vs Saint-Etienne, host side Dihon lose the game 0-1 despite having 17 shots but not being able to find the target once within the game. Saint-Etienne toke 16 shots and hit the target 4 times, but the only shot that mattered was a shot from Saint-Etienne’s J.Veretout who scores in the 77th minute.
Ending the week was an exciting and dramatic game between Paris Saint Germain and Lyon. Lyon took the lead in the game with regular scorer A.Lacazette scoring in the 6th minute of the game. Lyon didn’t lead for long as Rabiot gets an equalizer in the 34th minute and just shortly after new signing Julian Draxler scores his 8th goal in all competitions for the club in the 40th minute. No more goals where to come in the second half despite the entertaining first half. PSG remain in second place in the Ligue 1 standings with just three points behind league leaders Monaco.
