Real Madrid set to replace Pepe with Felipe Augusto de Almeida Monteiro
Real Madrid is reported to be replacing veteran defender Pepe with FC Porto’s Brazilian’s centerback Felipe Augusto de Almeida Monteiro next summer.
According to Portuguese daily newspaper Record, the club has already reached out to the 27-year-old Porto stopper and the deal is almost final, only some minor details are left to be sorted out.
As of now the agreement is just verbal and Felipe will be moving to the Santiago Bernabeu before the beginning of the next campaign.
Real Madrid have been eyeing the player for quite some time and a personal approval has also been given for him by Zinedine Zidane after he had studied the defender.
Felipe is defined as extremely fast player who is physically very powerful and is well known for the aerial threat.
